Is It A Threat That Google Is Allowing Third Party Developers to Scan Your Gmail Inboxes ?
The Tech giant Google has recently stated that there are still many third party developers who can access and scan your Gmail Inboxes. A Google employee said that “we have to access users Gmail account in very specific cases where you ask us to and give consent, or where we need to for security purposes, such as investigating a bug or abuse”. Even though Google assures that it keeps the privacy of its users still it allows many outside developers to scan through users Gmail accounts, where the user signed up for email based services offering shopping price comparisons, automated travel-itinerary planners or other tools as claimed by Wall Street Journal. Google is still awaited to comment on this. Gmail has nearly 1.4 billion users worldwide, which is more than next 25 largest email providers combined.
